Happy Endings to Great Days:
Today was a pretty good day. I got up and started going through the kitchen. cleaning out cabinets throughing out stuff we don't need and pulling up the old formica. I pulled a little muscle in my trap. Unfortunetly since severly injuring it(I nearly split my trap in half) in high school I have been highs susceptable to muscle strains in this area. I am very careful when lifting because of this. What happened is I was prying up the formica and it was stuck I pulled and it suddenly let go twisting me in a weird direction. It hurt like hell and gave me an immideate headache. So off I went to the shower. I took 2 Aleeve and took off the shower head and let the full power of the water jet hit my neck and shoulders at full heat for about 30 minute. Then I laid down and waited for the pain relief which did eventually come.
At this point Digi came home. He picked me up and I dropped him off at work. I arranged the babysitter for the baby and left for my interview. I was in a hurry because the babysitter wasn't ready till almost time for my interview so I left without having my correct shoes on. Well luck was on my side because I arrived on time and the manager was not there yet. She was 20 minutes away so I took off for home and picked up my heals and headed back she got there the same time I did.
The interview went great and we spent a good half and hour talking about digi our kids and other things. We found we had a lot of things in common. It was great and now all I have to do is talk to the Drs and see what they say. They like the fact that I have medical skills and can do billing, back office stuff and front office stuff as well as transcription and work on their computers. They need someone in house to help with things and they just haven't found that right person yet. The office seemed really nice and I ended up picking up Digi and the office and bringing back over to their office to help them fix a mapping problem. They love him over there.
We ended up leaving with a gift certificate for a free dinner and the huasatche grill. Its supposed to be really good. I will tell you when we finally end up going.
When we got home the babysitter said the baby was good and only got in trouble once and it was a group thing as all the kids (she has 5 of her own) where jumping on the bed. They all sat down and watched Harry Potter (which by the way I love) and she proceeded to tell me if I ever wanted to go out with Digi she would be happy to keep the baby for me.
The the landlord lady stopped me and we chatted awhile about family and stuff and she told me that the bottom floor apartment directly below the one we had planned to move into was going to be open in about a week. She asked if we wanted it. We haven't decided yet, Digi and I are gonna look at both of them tomorrow and make a decision. I prefer the bottom because its right next to the laundry and Digi wont have to lug all our stuff upstairs. Its also right next to the pool. But we will see.
We had dinner and watched Farscape for a bit. They are having a marathon all day on the Sci Fi channel. I lovew the show and so does Digi. We haven't been able to watch it since back in Chandler so it was a real treat. I made carne guisada and brown rice with carrots and tortillas on the side. We popped open a really nice bottle of white zinphydel and just enjoyed.
The phone rang and it was our lovely little girl. She talked to us for about 30 -45 minutes and proceeded to make Digi glow he was smiling so big. She seems to have that affect on him. Anyways she said she has been being good and had fun on her water day at school. She is taking good care of her father and being a good girl at school. Its all I can ask of her. She is a real doll and I love her so much it was wonderful to hear he sweet voice on the other end of the phone line.
After the call Digi sat down to do his homework and I sat down to write in my blog. We will probably head to bed in about 30 minutes. We need the rest. So see yall tomorrow. We had a good day everyone was happy and healthy and that is the real important part of things. hugs and kisses sulis

Whoops:
Sorry I didn't post yesterday. My intention is to post at least once a day, so I may get back in the habit. Yesterday was a little hectic. I had an interview and a couple of dealings with various government (read IRS, state revenue system) agencies. Then when Digi got home after working 12 hours at work I had to motivate him to start his homework. His first day at college was yesterday, he is a little nervous but he managed with my help to write his first essay since high school. He actually writes pretty well I just had to correct some grammar/spelling things. Talk about the blind leading the blind. We had herb crusted pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes and gravy and hot from the oven fresh soft French bread. I know I know I forgot the vegetable but Digi is really picky about veggies and I didn’t have anything decent in the house (hominy, sweet potatoes where all I had) If y’all know of any good vegetable recipes that have good texture and flavor please send them to me.
We ended up getting to be about midnight. Yesterday was also the babies last day of school. So we spent a good portion of the day outside. I let him stay up pretty late. But we are going to have to come up with a good bedtime for the summer months. We have been discussing allowance and rules for summer. We are thinking 5 a week, which translates to 1 dollar for savings 1 dollar for church 1 dollar for charity and 2 to buy whatever he wants. Which will probably be 2 new cars a week if I know my son. We have been trying to teach him about cleaning up after himself and for the most part it is doing good. His room is fairly clean. I only have to make his bed (he makes it but it bugs me when its all messy but he’s getting better at it every day) and maybe pick up a few cars and stuff them in the toy box. Other then that it’s all in order. We start summer home school on Monday. We just need to make our calendar and weather chart, which we will probably work on today. My motto is a busy kid is a happy safe kid. The meds he takes for his bedwetting are working great he is really happy about that. I know it makes him feel much happier.
I am getting the new apartment wired and ready for us to move into. The new place is only about 4 apartment over and upstairs. But it’s a lot bigger and has more rooms. Hope to be painting it sometime next week. I will post before and after pictures. Speaking of pictures the other weekend we went on a nice ride out on river road. We took a bunch of pictures of various beautiful places out on the river. I am hoping we can all head out to Marion this weekend to take a couple of other pics. Then I can take the film in for processing. Lets cross our fingers they come out O.K. It was just a cheapie disposable camera.
I am almost done redoing this apartment so they can rent it out right away. I patched all the little wholes and corrected some problems with repairs made on the drywall. Ok so I am a perfectionist when it comes to drywall patches I hate when you can see the repair. People don't believe in sanding. So needless to say I have been covered in dust for the last couple of days as I have been sanding, sanding, sanding until my fingers almost fell off. But it looks nice and I will be painting soon. If you are wondering why I am doing this its because it makes me feel good to make something look nicer and the managers are close friends and I help them get the apartments ready for move in anyways so this way this one will be ready when we move out. Now I just need to get him to bring me the new flooring for the kitchen and bathroom.
The cabinets in this old place where built right. They are solid wood right down to the countertop. I accidentally caught a piece of the Formica with my shirt yesterday and ripped a piece off so I am going to pull it off and sand it down then paint it with high temp paint and paint a design over that with high temp paint. That way you can actually use the countertops to put your pots down on even when they are hot. We have settled on a lily design. I will send pics when its done. It’s a small kitchen so It wont take all that long to complete.
I have an interview today with a cardiologist office. They are really good friends of Digi, he keeps them up and running. They desperately need a front office person so if they can offer me the right pay and hours I will start next week. Wish me luck. The extra money will help us put some money into savings and our company.
Speaking of our company I have 2 new clients. A furniture company out in Berne and a Model designer here in New Braunfels. Word of mouth seems to be working pretty good for us. Its more then I can complete in a short period of time by myself so hopefully we wont get any more till I at least finish 2 of the current projects.
Well I need to get working. And all of you out there in SVTV land who haven't posted lately get it together I want to hear from you. I almost forgot, Flagg Happy Birthday how old does that make you now, old man? (sulis walks away singing Happy happy birthday baby)

If only I could fly:
Dman those of you with blogs who have been posting all these cute damn tests. I had to do this one cause I love angels. So what kinda angel would sulis be.
What kind of ANGEL are you?
Quiz made by Angela
I love Angels and have done extensive research into them.I collect them in all shapes and forms. At Christmas time I like to sell tons of angel ornaments and quilts and napkin rings. I am hopeing to have everything set so I can do this online this year. Cause personally I hate wasting my day at a craft fair at a booth. I like checking out the other booths.
I sometimes wonder what I would be like to be an angel. My research has concluded it to be tantmount to being Gods ultimate submissive. You do what God says No questions asked. Not sure I have that kinda control. I tend to questions everything. But then I am far from being perfect enough to be considered and angel and since contrary to popular belief and going by biblical and other writtings Angels are a seperate class of beings and not simply dead poeple who where really good in life. So I wont be turning into and angel anytime soon. It has been said that Angels and humans spawned Giants. Makes you wonder just exactly what an angel looks like. And what it would be like to be loved by and Angel. So does that mean that men like andre are just a little closer to god in more ways then just thier height. Smiles who knows. I guess I will just keep on reading.

A Time To Remember:
As I woke up this morning I realized that today I had my family to myself for an extra day. As I laid there half awake and half asleep my mind started going through all the things I am thankful for lately. My Children are safe and healthy. My baby is laying in the other room watching tv. I am finally healthy, happy, and safe. I have great friends around me that love me without being clingy or annoying. I am doing stuff I enjoy doing and getting paid for it. There was more but I don't know how to state them. Then it occured to me what today really was. Its a day to remember. To remember all the people who have and will fight for our way of life. The men and woman who never know when Uncle Sam is gonna say pack your bags leave your family and go risk your life in some small sand field out on the other side of the world. Its not an easy job and often thankless. But I for one am very thankful they are there. I am very thankful that the thousands of men and woman who have lost their lives fighting for America where there when our Country needed them. Thank you to all the children who have gone without your parents for months or even lifetimes for this cuase. Thank you for the wives and husbands who have been seperated to complete the arduious task of keeping the world safe for American Democracy.Thank you to all of you past, present and future for your sacrifices and hard work. I sleep peaceful everynight because for the most part America is free and safe.
So today thank those people who have and will keep you and your loved ones safe tonight. If you are able do your part. Keeping us safe is not easy and everyone should play their part. Whats your's?

Domestic Goddess to just plain Goddess:
Many of you know I have spent the last year working fairly hard to get myself looking good. No, for those of you wondering, for the first time in my life I am not doing it for a guy I am doing it because I looked in the mirror and I didn't like who I was. I have made a ton of changes in my life physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. I have lost almost 100lbs. now and am starting to feel beautiful again. I'm not gonna lie here and say I didn't realize I was pretty. Even at my heavist men and woman still found me attractive. But the problem was I didn't find myself attractive. I looked in the mirror and found someone ugly and beneath my contemp. I treated myself that way.
So I am telling you all this because last night Bobbi inspired me to try harder. I realized that back in high school I left my dreams of being in fitness mags and doing fitness shows far behind because my father told me woman don't look good with muscles. Well the truth is I don't think woman should be so big they look like men (ie chyna...don't get me wrong their are times I find her very hot but when your face starts to change because you have dropped your fat to muscle ratio so low you produce too much testosterone (yes woman have testosterone too) and not enough estrogen( estrogen btw is produced in your fat cells.I want to be muscular when I flex but smooth and rounded, shapely if you will when I am relaxed.
So today I changed my focus on my exercise and diet routine. I am gonna continue my aerobics and change my other exercises to include more lifting, including going to the gym (the local rec dept here charges $10.00 a month to use the gym) 3 -4 times a week. I also am using a 45lb staff for my at home exercise and doing more extensive stretching to bring back the flexibility of my youth. (I was one of those girls that could watch tv with both legs tucked behind my head. **good stretch, the Froggy: lay on your belly and put the palms of your feet together then bring your knees out until you are laying flat on the floor feet still completely touchy all the way across the palms and there is no space between your body and the floor. do that and you will be doing side splits in no time. My Cheerleading instructor made us watch tv like that all the time so we would stay limber**
To Digital and the babies dismay, I also changed our diet. I ave been making more baked and whole foods. Like Chicken breast and brown rice with sweet potatoe mash and green grapes.(our dinner last night) And servering them much more water. The baby has lost 5 lbs since he has been here. The Doctor is very proud of him. I am also providing them healthier snacks like lightly lemon peppered air popped popcorn, carrots, celery, fruits, yougurt, etc. You will probably see some of my recipes on here eventually I am working on a database for them all. So if you have some good recipes send them on over. I would love some good Diabetic recipes.;-)
The whole point is bobbie reminded me to focus more on fitness and less on loseing weight. She has done a great job and has been rewarded with a cover on Muscular Development Magazine. She will autograph it for you if you want just check it out here.
Well congratulations on your cover Bobbi, keep up the good work.
