Absoute power: Around here we watch stargate sg1 religiosly. This week they had a rerun of the show where Danielle started to act like he was all powerful. Telik made a statement about how since all gould are born with the knowledge of the past generations being all powerful they are always born evil. Because the temptation and the stress of knowing everything is just to much. It made me wonder. I mean if you really knew everything. Everything that has been and everything that ever will be, how woiuld that effect your mind set. Would you become so jaded that you could only align youself with evil? Or would you knowing that that one person can change things become pure and try to change what you can? I really don't know. I can't fathom having all tht in my head. I have too much junk in there as it is. SOmetime,just maybe ignorance is bliss.

Man I am getting greedy here. I heard something on the radio I would love to have but i definetly won't have the money to go. Even if I did The tickets i coiuld afford woiuld be horrible. So those of you who have the inclination, and the money supply, Miss sulis would really really love to go to the Eagles concert. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. I love their music they bring back a happier time in my life. When I thought I was the queen of the world. And I knew in my heart that the people I had around me loved me and would never hurt me or lie to me. Oh well, I was young and stupid, sue me. I have been offline alot lately. Have had a cough that wont seem to go away. Digi says its because I don't sleep enough and babyd seems to agree with him. So this week while I am off of school I am going to do my best to rest as much as I can and finally kick this damn cough. Soulhuntre got me hooked on Everything2 awhile back. I have been afraid to write anything becuase I didn't want to be picked apart. But my new outlook has prompted me to do some writting. E2 is right up my alley. I love doing research. I have a couple of other ones that I am working on but We will see how they pan out. Hope everyone is doing well. I have a broken finger, Its my middle finger right hand. Really annoying. It gets in the way all the time. Have some thoughts on Speaking in Tongues after church today. I will probably get sent straight to hell for saying them. But I Need to say them. Maybe its just me. But I have read the bible. and I have been taught about the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The apostles had all nine (9) spiritual gifts (1 COR. 12:4-11) Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

I have to say having looked some of this up I have found a few decent write ups on the subject this being one of them. My personal feeling is that although these gifts are still present in the world today. Speaking in Tongues was a means of communicating the message of Jesus' teachings. It allowed people who spoke different languages to understand eachother. So tell me why? Someone would beging to speak in arabic or swahili or any other language while thier is not a soul in the room who can understand them. To me this defeats the whole purpose of recieveing the gift of tongues. It was ment as a communication tool not as a means of exculsion or proof that you are a higher being.

Personally I believe that you, me, the guy laying the gutter in NYC, are all made in the image of God. What we do with that power and what we do with those gifts are up to us. Being partially a scientist it has always fascinated me that we use so little of our brain. That we still know so little about how it works. Who is to say that if we could figure out how to use the other 90 or so percent of our brain all the mircles we see around us in life currently will suddenly cease to be mircles. We will realize that we as human have always had the power to affect our environment and other people in ways we couldn't explain. Just think about it. What could you do if you could really use 100% if your brain. Heal the sick? Astral Project? Levitate? What would you do?
